LDAP

with a lot of my academic and extracurricular deliverables clearing up, i am now having more free time than i ever had for the whole semester.

such moments of calm are very disturbing. the moment of silence is giving me the opportunity to think about what i've done with my life so far. a jack of all trades and a master of none, i am having a hard time reconciling why my academic grades are not as spectacular as i would want them to be. spreading myself too thinly over too many projects has gotten the better of me. while i could get a B+ QPI on an 18-unit load, i think it's quite impossible for a 21-unit load, 2 orgs and 2 programming jobs. there will just come a point of mental exhaustion where everything will just collapse.

in jogging, the same holds true. you can't do two sets of six-kilometer rounds from monday to saturday and expect to be fresh on sunday. the body needs a balance between exercise and rest.

right now, everything is clearing up for me this semester. it's quite disturbing to be idle though. that's why i got myself into two projects the past five days to keep me busy. and this has gotten blood rushing up my veins. it is quite an honor for me to play with the big boys.

for them, i shall not fail. and for now, i must resume my research on LDAP.

LDAP - is short for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol. It's an offshoot of the x.500 technology. Simply put, it's a directory and naming service that allows stuff to be classified in it's directories. It is used in a lot of applications but has gained much popularity in the realm of IT security (user authentication and digital certificates to name a few).
