rich dad, poor dad

just read robert kiyosaki's rich dad, poor dad. wondrous read. very inspiring jump board that has fueled again my desire for knowledge. i would recommend reading it especially if you're :

- the adventurous type
- open to a new perspective of life
- a risk-taker
- an entrepreneur

i can't wait to implement the ideas i have learned. it would be such a waste of a good book to keep it in theory. i'd love to talk more about the book, but i wouldn't want to spoil the fun or infringe some copyright issues. i respect the book's value and the book's author.

if there were one thing that i picked up from the book :

your brain is the best investment that you have. the more that one can do, the more opportunities become feasible for that person (opportunities are always open to more than a few people, it's just not feasible for all of them).

heheh, hoping that the brain here actually refers to the "mind". How good is the book? Been wanting to read it but I got no time :(

hehe, of course, my metaphors seem to be confusing. the brain is synonymous to the mind.

the book preaches the potential greatness inherent in every person that is just waiting to be awakened. this can be a very good read for anyone who has been so used to the culture of crab mentality. you can actually do well in the presence of others without putting them down. for the open mind and the hungry heart, it "can" bring out the creative genius inside us. even those who "think" they don't have one.

I've been hearing about this through entreplink, an e-group for Pinoy entreprenuers. Your article came up in my random surf of blogspot. Perhaps it's a sign for me to spare some time for a good read.

thanks chalcone for visiting. i hope you enjoy the book as much as i did. and better yet, i hope you can learn more than what i have learned so far. though i'm not saying i've extracted all i can from the book. there is just so much ground to cover and try out. peace.

cool! thanks for the tip regarding entreplink. i will invite myself and joing entreplink's group. i fancy i could set up an entrepreneurial business sometime after i graduate. i think i have much to learn from fellow entrepreneurs in the philippines.
